M-Fuge was not anything I was expecting (this was my first year). It was way better that I thought. The group I was in was ‘Social’. The first site we went to was called the Coastal Center. They provided homes for mentally disabled people. I was super scared because I have never been around mentally disabled people a lot. So I didn’t know what to expect. The first thing we did at the Coastal Center was swim with the people in the wheel chairs and it was so fun because they are just smiling every minute of the day. It made me feel good to know I was making them happy. After swimming and eating lunch, we had a dance party. Literally everyone in there would walk up to you and shake your hand. The scariest thing that happened to me that day was this one guy came up behind me and took my hand. When I looked at him, his mouth was as wide open as it could get and his tongue was stuck out as far as he could get it. I was like OK…and walked away.

Wednesday we went to a nursing home and then an orphanage. On Thursday, we went to another nursing home and then played with children. M-Fuge was so awesome and I can’t wait till next year.

Ok, so M-Fuge rocked the house literally. We had so much fun helping the community. It was a lot of hard work but it was worth it. On cartoon night, Kelly was Scooby Doo, Kenzie was Velma, and Sarah was Daphne. During this wonderful celebration we encountered a ninja in the bushes, so we told Kelly to poke it and then….he flailed his arms everywhere and we were almost on the ground.

Meanwhile, Mr Ninja was chasing a screaming Kenzie down the sidewalk. Also, there was this really strange guy that was petting Kelly because she was dressed as a dog. The he started eating our Scooby Snacks. Not cool! After that we saw this big green dude dressed as Gumby. He looked like a green bean. Anyways, Kelly and Sarah dared Kenzie to scare Gumby…so she did. It didn’t work out so great. We’ll leave it at that. Later on in the week…Kenzie go saved!!! Yay!!!

Overall this week was so much fun! Before we got on our way back to Cadiz, we stopped at this 300+ year old oak tree. It was so big! We wish we could have climbed on it because it was so amazing! We also stopped at the beach and we all got in the water. We didn’t get all the way in because we didn’t have that much time. We all wrote our names in the sand too! We also saw a laser light show that we all loved. This was the first time any of us saw one.

This M-Fuge trip was great! It was Kenzie and Sarah’s first time to come to M-Fuge. They also haven’t been on the Centri-Kid trips either. For Kelly, this was her second time to M-Fuge and she has been to Centri-Kid before. This week was amazing.

What a different-than-expected week at camp. When I arrived at camp and saw the college, I noticed that it was going to be a lot different than years before. But by the first worship, I was on my knees in tears. God was speaking to me to minister and to go out and speak his word. Then he was also talking about my skills of engineering and to pursue it. I was very confused but then I met Bradley and growing up he also had this problem. As we talked and the read the Word, I knew God sent him to help show the way. He said pray for wisdom, clarity and discernment. Throughout the week it became more clear to me that both can be done. The camp in Charleston, SC was a blessing to me and I’m sure to everyone else. I can’t wait for next year.

Writing in this book for what looks to be the last time brings tears to my eyes. This may be my last M-Fuge; however it is not the end of my love for serving others. I have tried to savor every moment of this week and I feel that I truly have. Being on the Isle of Palms in Charleston was amazing and I know God will continue to work in mighty ways there.

I want to personally thank Bro. Jason, Mrs. Michelle and Mr. Eric Sweno for investing their time and energy into making these past 4 summer camps truly amazing. My prayer is that M-Fuge will transition into 'C-Fuge' where Cadiz benefits from.

This last M-Fuge trip for me was possibly the best. I picked Game & Rec as my track, instead God blessed me with what I know how to do more than anything else... PCY. We did nothing but yard work and underbrushing. God spoke straight to me on the rides to site and back each and every day.

I was blessed to room with my boys this last year and will always remember how long Joel spent in the shower, 'Mr. 35 Minutes'!

Worship was a great and a good connection every night. I thank God for letting me attend this week.

This last week of camp, and my last M-Fuge, was bittersweet and highly enriching. I had the Beach Ministry track which was fun but also difficult because of us having to break out of our awkward shells and talk to people we have never met before. The theme this year was 'Connect'. I feel I was able to connect with God, strangers, and other people in our group. Although attending camp as a camper is over, I'm hoping and planning on trying to become a staffer for next summer's CentriKid. I wanna thank Cadiz Baptist for inviting me and treating me as one of their own. God bless you all and glorify his name.

Well, the only way I can think to describe this week of camp other than we went out with a bang. Experiencing camp for the last time was bittersweet. I had a lot of fun here and the group of people in my Bible Study group were awesome. Lastly, I felt that the sermons and kids I interacted with at site were some of the best I've ever experienced. I'm glad my last M-Fuge could be this awesome. Shout out to Jason, Michelle, and my Dad for making M-Fuge a great part of the last 4 years of my life.
