Today was our last day at camp and it was awesome! On Friday we went to a daycare at a church and I made a new best friend, her name was Kayla. She was so sweet and I wish I was able to stay there longer but sadly we couldn't. I loved being at camp and I can't wait till next year! I learned so much and this year I'm going to take home what I learned!

During this week at Birmingham its going to make a turning point in my life, and make a difference of how to be a committed Christian to make sacrifices. Also that I would pray for all the 11 & 12 year-old boys that I got to play with and get to know who they are. At the YMCA, where the kids were at, we played lots of basketball and they taught us all kinds of games just like we taught them to know Jesus.

This week camp had a huge effect on me. During camp one of the things I learned that hit my heart was the word 'Integrity'. And I must have integrity to be a true Christian. The camp pastor said most people say they are true Christians by telling others what they should and shouldn't do but they don't do it themselves and they lack one thing called integrity. And you're not a true Christian unless you have that. And it made me think and I found out that I lack that. And for now on I plan to follow through with what I say you shouldn't and should do. Because it easy to say it but it take a Christian to actually do it and not just talk about it.

Camp is always the best week in my eyes. We always take a look at our lives and see how we can build a relationship with our Lord. I always think I'm gonna do it when I get home, and never do. This week is different. I have learned that this week, I will be different. And you have my word for it!
We learned about Love, Obedience, Sacrifice, Integrity, and Commitment. Out of all all of these, the 'Sacrifice' day was my favorite. I need to sacrifice things for my relationship with God. Just like Hanna from our Bible story. She sacrificed a son and God helped her through that. He will help me also. I have learned a lot. My site was great, my leader was wonderful, my new friends are amazing! It's been a great week at camp. Thank you for taking us!

This week has been the greatest ever. I came into this week not knowing what to expect. But God used me in many ways, and I did my best to teach my group at the Birmingham YMCA about God. This week taught me to listen and follow God instead of ignoring Him. So I'm going to continue to try and listen and do my best to follow Him and listen to Him.

This week at camp has been very life-changing. I started off by being in Games & Rec and I went to McAlpine Rec Center. Being me, I wasn't thinking much about impacting other kids lives until I got there. For the first time I got to talk to kids and tell them about Jesus and who he was. One thing that stuck out to me was 'Obedience'. How we should obey God regardless, wether we like it or not. Cause most times I usually pick and choose what I want to do for God. But he should be the one to tell me what he wants me to do.

It's been a long time since I wrote an entry for this Journal but, tonight after singing so many songs I began realizing that I was running from God more than I was trying to do His works. Today I'm recommitting myself back to the Lord Jesus and today is the start of a brand new relationship with God and I know I will try a lot harder to stick with Him this time.

PS: Don't miss breakfast. It messed up my ENTIRE day. I'm up writing this at 7:00 fixing to head to breakfast, but first I have to wake up Nick........... :)

This was my first day ever to be at Fuge and it was great! I loved being at the Nursing Homes. I'll be truthful, I almost cried seeing all the people there trying to sing the songs. The great thing was I met this lady there. She thought that I had been there before and that we played Bingo and that I won a lot. Just seeing her face made it all great. I love being here. It seems like I have been here forever and that it's Friday, but I'm glad it's not!

Soo, my day was started by going to a recreational center called Central Park to play games with a bunch of kids. I walk into the the gym and my eyes lay right on this little boy with a lime green shirt and bright blue shorts. I had gotten a new boyfriend, and he was 5 yrs old named LaSamuel Grey Jamal. I talked to him all day and know so much about him it's crazy. I demanded him to make sure he was there the rest of the week. I'm already attached to him and it's the first day. Whew, pretty amazing.
By the way, community showers aren't a good thing for a hallway full of girls.
